Let’s face it, every year, sometimes everyday, educating our children, especially in public schools, continues to become more and more difficult. The requirements on our time, what to teach, how to teach, discipline issues, lack of support, technology distractions, family dynamics, mental health and so many more issues that educators face make it the 2nd highest burnout rate profession in our country. Christian educators in our public schools carry a double load and are many times so busy trying to survive they many times have difficulty in figuring out how they can have an impact for the Lord in their classroom. But having Christians in the public schools is crucially important to those students and other staff who don’t see His light on a daily basis. TENTMAKERS wants to help teachers not just survive, but thrive in living out their faith in the classroom.
At the TENTMAKERS Educators on Mission participants will:
Be encouraged, empowered and renewed in your passion as a Christian educator!
Grow in Boldness, Courage & Daring!
Navigate your legal freedoms with simple tools!
Sharpen skills to enhance even difficult relationships at school and home!
Build safe and encouraging community with other Christian educators!
Deepen your connections with God and leave with practical steps to apply immediately!
Restore hope in your mission and work!
Focused, Interactive, Engaging & Transforming!
TENTMAKERS Educators on Mission experience is a “think tank” composed of up to 25 outstanding Christian educators focused on answering the question: “How do we transform schools with God’s love and truth?”.
The wisdom, insights and experience that the participants contribute are foundational to the weekend. Participants will be encouraged, equipped and return with plans they wrote to minister in their classrooms & schools. The TENTMAKERS Educators on Mission is primarily designed for, but not limited to, public school educators including teachers, administrators, support staff, police liaison, etc. This weekend gathering started as a cooperative event with Christian Educators and TENTMAKERS, and is funded by local business, education and church leaders as well as parents who look to Christian educators as the hope for the future.
